Ann Zeisset, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P
Ann Zeisset, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, is Special Consultant on ICD-10 for G2N. She also serves as content developer and external ICD-10 faculty for AHIMA and is an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer.
Prior to this, she served twelve years as Manager of Professional Practice Resources for AHIMA. In that role, Ann provided professional expertise to AHIMA members, the media, and outside organizations on coding practice issues. She has authored and served as technical advisor for AHIMA online coding education, publications and articles on ICD-9-CM, CPT, and ICD-10-CM/PCS topics.
Prior to joining AHIMA, Ann served as director of Health Information/Utilization Management. Before that, she served in various coding roles, and has been an educator of coding and HIM for more than 25 years at multiple colleges, and currently serves as adjunct faculty in the Health Information Management Program at the University of Cincinnati. Ann has written many coding related articles and has presented numerous seminars and educational sessions on coding and other HIM related topics throughout the United States. Ann completed a one year contract between the Foundation for Research and Education and CMS to determine potential impacts to CMS when converting from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM/PCS coding systems. She is a frequent author and speaker on ICD-10-CM/PCS and serves as author and faculty for the AHIMA ICD-10-CM/PCS Academies to train trainers.
Ann was awarded the Distinguished Member award from SILHIMA in 2003 and the Certified Coding Specialist award in 2005, and the Professional Achievement award from ILHIMA in 2010. She received a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership at Greenville College.
